Hey there!
I’m an LA-based multi-media artist.
You may know me as Ragmop from Ragmop & Goose.
I’ve had a compulsion to make things with my hands since I was a toddler. My mom once told me she saw me draw a circle when I was 2, and she could instantly tell I had inherited my dad’s artistic gene.
I can’t fully describe the feeling I get when I am making something.
I go somewhere that’s… not here. It feels like I leave the entire planet. Maybe even the universe? I know it’s tropey to say it’s medicine, but that’s really how it feels for me. It doesn’t matter what medium I’m working with - I love it all!
i don’t remember
a time in my life when
i wasn’t thinking about the next
thing i wanted to learn.
it’s probably because of my dad.
Although our relationship wasn’t easy to navigate, the love between us was always there.
I can’t deny the incredible influence he had on me. His stubbornness to figure things out on his own, his willingness to power through all the growing pains of learning a new skill, and his compulsive need to always be doing something with his hands has definitely imprinted on me.
